Halloween

For Halloween, Maren wanted to be a cat. Of course this meant Lydia wanted to be a cat too. Luckily when I was up in Utah last week, I found three cat costumes. I was a little worried because the biggest size I could find was a 3-4. Gymboree must run big because it fit Maren just fine.

The girls were really excited to go trick or treating. Martha Ann refused to wear her ears and I didn't dare paint her face because I knew she would smear it all over. I also was going to get black shoes to match but never got around to it. I still thought they ended up pretty cute.

Earlier Martha Ann couldn't wait for me to put her costume on and took matters into her own hands. She was so excited to show me what she did.

Scott took the girls trick or treating for a little while and they came home when they got cold. We didn't put coats on for this very reason. The girls had a blast handing out candy. We didn't get very many people but enough to keep the girls entertained. Maren was the door opener and Lydia was the candy hander outer. They kept a diligent watch out the window.

Matha Ann was very protective of her candy. She carried it around on her arm and inspected it every few minutes for over an hour. I finally had to take it away because she kept trying to chew through all the wrappers.

Chersten,
Where is your kitty costume? The girls look so cute in these pictures! We decided to go out around town this year. It was actually a lot of fun, but we missed the Trunk or Treat. Next year we will plan better and do both! The kids loved it!
