Coloring Easter eggs

Maren and Lydia begged and begged for days to color Easter eggs. We finally got around to it Sunday after church while Martha Ann took her nap. If you couldn't tell, Lydia was excited.

The girls actually did very well with very little supervision.
Lydia struggled with the waiting part. According to the directions the eggs are supposed to sit in the dye for five minutes. Lydia's never lasted even close to that long.

Martha Ann wasn't sure what to think when she woke up.

Scott dyed one egg and immediately got egg dye on his white shirt. Hopefully it comes out.
Overall I think the girls had fun. Unfortunately most of the eggs were cracked and there were only four left to make egg salad sandwiches.

Good job Chersten! I wouldn't attempt coloring eggs just because of the mess. Did you try Oxyclean on Scott's shirt?

Where'd you get your egg coloring kit(kits) at?

Which brand did you use?

I just got the egg coloring kits at Walmart. I don't remember what brand, just one of the cheap ones with sparkles.

Suprisingly, the dye came right out of Scott's shirt.
