Last week Scott suddenly decided that he wanted to actually do something on his day off, besides grocery shopping. So we we headed off to the Cattleman's Steakhouse.
This particular steakhouse is outside of town and has a little zoo and playground. There were goats, rabbits, snakes, deer, ostriches, cows, bison, horses, sheep etc. There were also peacocks roaming around.
The girls had a fun time watching the animals and we even broke out a quarter so the girls could feed the goats. (Big spenders, I know.)
The playground was really fun. I'm sure it wouldn't pass any safety inspections, but the girls sure loved it.
The girls had fun exploring everywhere and loved the ropes. Lydia is always the first to climb anything, but Maren was actually close behind her.
Martha Ann wanted to follow them up. She so wants to be able to keep up with her sisters.
Martha Ann loved the tire swings.
I tried so hard to get a picture of her expression. It was so cute. This is as close as I could get.
Maren and Lydia had so much fun I had to promise them that we would go back before they would agree to leave so we could go eat because Scott was starving.

We rarely go out to eat with the girls because it is not worth the hassle. After the first fifteen minutes where I was questioning why we ever even try, the girls settled down and it turned out to be a relatively peaceful meal. It was definitely a steak house, hardly any chicken or vegetables. The steaks were really good though.

HOW FUN! What a fun place! I am not so sure about showcasing the cows. That's kinda like the Lobster tank at Red Lobster! I mean, I KNOW they were alive once, but I don't really want to have to think about it! :)
I wish we had fun kiddie places around us like that!
Mmmmm... sounds good, when are we going?
I don't see your daughters very often, but in that second to last picture Lydia doesn't look like herself. It seems to be Lydia because she's wearing the clothes Lydia was wearing in the other pictures, but otherwise it seems like its a different gal in those clothes.
That's funny, Caleb, I don't notice that. It could be the hair that is constantly covering up her face.
