January 24 was Martha Ann's second birthday. She can say she is two, but is struggling with holding up two fingers.
For her birthday we also took away her plug. Earlier in the month, I'd taken it away except for nap time and bed time. It didn't leave her crib. She handled it better than I thought. After two days of huge tantrums every time she wanted it, which was constantly, she was fine.
But since I knew she wasn't going to completely give it up willingly any time soon and I'm sure it wasn't doing good things to her teeth, we decided to take it completely away. We told her repeatedly that now that she was two she didn't need it anymore. So on Tuesday morning, we got up and she threw it down the garbage chute. It was rough for a couple of days, but she is doing great. It takes a little longer to get her down for naps and bedtime, but not too bad.
She is getting to be so big. She talks a lot, even though she is extremely hard to understand. She still only says the first syllable of any word. She is as cute as can be one minute and throwing a tantrum the next. She can be extremely stubborn and will storm off to their room and slam the door . She has recently learned how to lock herself in. She loves to snuggle and gives hugs and kisses. She loves to play with her dad and have horsey back rides, play hide and go seek, and read books. All in all a normal two year old and keeps us laughing and on our toes.

Oh my goodness, I thing Bianca and Martha Ann are the same person...Bianca talks all day with out us understanding, and she only says the first syllable of words too. And those tantrums...good heavens, Bianca hasn't figured out how to slam doors yet, but I imagine it's not far off!
What a doll!
Slamming doors already?!! What a character. I can't wait to see her this summer. Good job getting rid of the plug! You'll be so glad you did it now before the next move.
What a darling 2 year old! I love the leg warmers with necklace and gun...she is ready to face the world!
