The girls have loved the snow. Martha Ann is always sneaking out to the deck to eat it. She has finally clued in that she needs shoes so her feet don't freeze. Her sister's shoes work nicely.
After growing up in Idaho and Utah, this doesn't seem like that much snow to me. But when there aren't very many snowplows it makes a huge difference. On the first big snow storm before Christmas, I made the mistake of trying to go run errands. I thought I would kill myself and anybody by me before I made it home. Now I'm not driving until the roads are really clear.
I am so glad that we have underground parking. That snow bank to the left in the above pictures is really buried cars. I would not want to have to dig those out.
The girls have had fun playing outside, even though they usually only last fifteen minutes or so. Without snow pants, good gloves, and real snow boots, they are usually crying from the cold quickly. It's fun while it last though.
Some people had made a really nice igloo the night before. We had watched from our window. I think they were out there for about five hours. I didn't get a picture, but the kids had a lot of fun playing in it.
I don't think I'd drive my car anywhere for a while in fear that I would lose my parking space.

Chersten! I have been watching the news and can't believe all the snow you are getting! I love these great pictures of the girls...especially the first one of Martha Ann in her onesie (you need to blow that one up and frame it)! Let us know when you have arrived in El Paso and are settled.
