The other weekend we headed to the Bamboo Farm and Coastal Gardens. This is a garden run by the University of Georgia that is free to tour. You can't beat that. They have rose gardens (Not too impressive. I guess roses are hard to grow in Georgia), bamboo forest (pretty cool), butterfly garden, strawberry patch (where you can pick strawberries for free when they are in season), pumpkin patch, sugarcane, banana trees, etc. This is a picture of one of the banana trees. I thought it was really cool. I've never seen a banana tree before. Apparently the flower leaves are also edible according to the sign. Who knew?
This is the bamboo forest. Not a great picture, but it actually was pretty neat to walk through.
Amazingly we got a good picture. The girls only cooperated under threat of no pizza for dinner if they didn't. Look at those smiles. They will do anything for pizza!
