At the Natural History Museum there is a butterfly exhibit. It normally costs money, but on Tuesdays it is free. So on Tuesday I ventured out with my siblings and my girls. It was freezing cold, but the museums are nice and warm. We got tickets to the butterflies and only had to wait a half an hour.
It seemed to be one thing that the girls really enjoyed. They give you a little sheet that helps you identify the butterflies.

They have fruit set out that the butterflies will land on. The girls had fun trying to match the butterflies to one on their paper.

Martha Ann was enthralled. She was either very intense,

or very excited.

It was very hot and humid and there were tons of flowers. The butterflies were flying around everywhere. Caleb and Lydia both had butterflies land on their heads and one landed on one of my sister's legs. I just wasn't fast enough with the camera to get a picture. The butterflies would let you get right up next to them. My lens was only inches from the butterfly in this picture.

Cool.
Hard to recognize Mikala without her red-hooded sweatshirt!
