There is an ice skating rink close by our apartment building. Every time we've walked by it the girls have begged to go ice skating. We finally gave in. Scott took the girls while I watched Martha Ann.

The rink had buckets that the kids could use to help them stay up.

Lydia loved Scott to push her around the rink.

Maren kept wanting to skate by herself.

She finally just gave up on the bucket.

Most of the time she looked like this.

She was very frustrated that she couldn't skate as good as the other kids, but she seemed to like it. We decided to sign her up for lessons. Lydia didn't really care so we didn't sign her up. She's had two weeks of lessons and seems to enjoy it. She told Scott on the way home on Saturday that when she grows up she's going to be a mom that stays home and an ice skating teacher.

Looks like lots of fun. You are doing a great job of making me wish I were hopping on a plane nearly every day! Could we really do it with 4 little girls???
Your girls are growing and get cuter every day!
great action shots!
The girls are so cute, and maren is getting to be such a big girl!
are there any ice skating rinks in el paso?
I think there is one.
Why didn't they have those buckets when I was 12 trying to stay upright on skates? Fun outing.
