Washington D.C. Temple

My sisters came to visit over the Christmas break. They flew in Christmas night late and left the day before New Year's Eve. My brother who lives in New York also drove down and stayed. We had a full house but had a lot of fun, even if we were all sleep deprived.
Martha Ann and Lydia were sick for most of the time and not sleeping well so the girls got a taste of what parenthood is like. We left Mikala and Cecelia in charge of the girls one night after Martha Ann had gone to bed so Scott and I could go out. They had quite the evening. Lydia cried and cried until she woke up Martha Ann who then cried and cried. It was quite the night. I can't remember who said it, but one of them said, "No wonder they never leave their girls."
We took it easy and all slept in on Saturday. We had wanted to go to a session at the DC temple, but my girls were not feeling well so we just went to go look at the lights. The grounds are not as big as the Salt Lake temple but it was still pretty. The visitor center had a room full of nativity sets from around the world and Christmas trees decorated for different countries.
It really is a very pretty temple. Scott made it to a session last week and I hope to go soon.

The girls had fun despite the cold and being sick. There was whining and crying, but over all they weren't too bad. The girls just all wanted to be carried.

Caleb wanted to see if we could get a picture of a snowball hitting his head. I think it turned out pretty good.

Chersten,
It is so fun to see you with your siblings! I love all the snow and the beautiful temple! Can you believe Deming got snow within 1 week of eachother? We were not prepared, but the boys had a blast. We miss you all and hope all is well.
